    "Maribell ! " mother yells, I rushed downstairs snatching the poptart in mother's hand. "You better hurry the bus is going to leave you again!" I ran out the house and out of the valley, "s**t, missed it again. Mother will be mad oh well i should just walk to school then."
    As I enter the school Counselor Smith catches up with me, "wow, 6th time you been late. You do realize your getting yourself in alot of trouble. If i were you I would be out already getting my license and a job! Get your act together Maribell. I am going to tell your Moth-" I quickly placed my hand on Counselor Smith's lip hoping she will shut up. "I don't care what you do, just stay out of my way ok? Everyday I come in here late and all I hear is. Nag Nag Nag.I get it okay." I remove my hand from her lip and headed upstairs, "Maribell ! How disrespectful of you to do that! I am the Counselor !"
    I walk into Science where everyone stares at me walking in class, how awkward. "Ahh Ms.Suzwayke, please take your seat." I walk to the end of the class and sat down, two other boys were passing notes to the upper classmen chicks. One of them looked at me and gave me a warm smile. "Hi Maribell, You look edgy today." 'Pfft, is that a compliment?" I say in a soft voice. The other guy turns around, "Dude don't talk to her she's weird and a wannabe emo chick. No one digs that ok? So wash up and get a new look." He chuckled. "Don't worry about him, i think you're.. beautiful." The bell rang and everybody rushes their way out. Crammed in the halls is what pisses me off, all the girls in short skirts and boys without shirts. What kind of school is this, "Hi Maribell!" Derek calls out. Derek is the laid back guy he doesn't get in trouble but he does the most dangerous things ever. I have to admit. "Hey derek." I smirked. "Let's go hang out after school with my friends, kay?" I nodded and headed to class.

    I headed to the front of the school waiting for Derek to pick me up, "Where the hell is he?" I said to myself. From behind someone covered my eyes and whispered. "Hey baby." I smiled and elbowed his stomach, as his hands removed i took his right arm and flipped him over making him face plant the ground. "What is your problem!" He yells whiping his mouth. It was Adrain, the douchebag of the school. "First of all i don't know you, and second of all stay out of my way." "Awh Maribell, don't be like that. Plus you look beautiful if you take your hair out of your eyes." Adrain reaches over and tries to move the hair out, i took his hand and pushed it away. "Don't touch me." Derek was waiting, I quickly ran towards him and got into the car. "So where are we going?" I asked. "Somewhere special" He smiled. The whole 2 hours was really not worth my time, as i sit back and look out the window. "where are we? are we lost?" Derek chuckled, "No just be patient."
    As we arrived to a forest, i looked at it and then looked at Derek. "2 hours for this! For damn trees!" I closed my eyes and massaged my temples. "This is so stupid." Derek laughed "Relax my friend's are coming we are going to do something so awesome you'll love it." I fake a smiled "Hope so." As Derek's friends came one of them had a box with them, "What is that?" I questioned. "don't worry sweet cheeks, this is top secret." The rest of the gang kept chuckling and looking over at me."Immature." I said softly. "Okay guys ! Come on lets go in the woods." I was confused but concerned, so I decided to walk in until one of the boy's grabbed my arm. "It wasn't a good idea that you came. You should leave." I brushed his hand off my arm and glanced at him. "I am fine." I said, "Well let me at least hold onto your arm then." I rolled my eyes, "Okay then." As i followed him everyone was in a circle, "This is what you all been waiting for." Chase said clapping his hands together. He opens the box and takes out a handful of arrows. "Im confused." i said looking at the boy, "Yea me too, i thought it was drugs or something." Everyone was silent and looking at Chase. "This here is a game we are all going to play." Derek stands up and looks at Chase, "What exactly is this game?" "I'm getting there sit down. So the game is this, I have a bow in the car which i will go fetch soon, by the time i come back everyone should be gone or hidden. It's like hide and seek." Chase said laughing, "This isn't safe Chase you could kill someone." Peter says looking scared and confused. "Exactly! This is what happened back at the campus." "Chase, we were stupid and young why would you bring up the past anyways!" I looked at Peter and asked him what exactly happened. "Well, When we were younger we went to a camp and we hated Chase's brother. So, we all planned on just playing around with Bows and Arrows until Derek accidently shot Chase's brother and he ended up in the hostpital." "Why did Derek Shoot him?" I asked. "Chase's brother, Richard. always mest with us and he hated Derek alot. He would always mess with him and Derek was mad and tired of all the teasing Richard did to him. So Derek just aim the bow at him but then ending up accidently shooting Richard in the leg arm." I looked at Derek and glanced at Peter. "Exactly this is pay back." Chase said, "What about the girl?" Derek said "She has nothing to do with this." "Oh her? Forget her she can just stay there or whatever." I squinted at him and then walked out of the woods. Chase was running to his car, and i thought it was stupid how None of the guys stood up. "Hmm.. I have a plan." I whispered to myself. I walked back into the woods and saw an arrow shoot right pass me. "Woo wee, this baby is dangerous!" Chase said yelling out. I quickly pulled the arrow out from the tree and climbed up the nearest tree. Then i heard Derek's voice from behind. "Maribell! What the hell! why are you here! Get out you might get shot!" Suddenly an arrow hit into Derek's leg. He screamed but then covered his mouth. I can tell he wanted to cry, I was about to jump down until I saw Chase. I hid behind the branches, "well well, Payback." Derek was squirmming around in the dirt and telling Chase to stop. I jumped down and aim the arrow down, making the arrow jammed into Chase's shoulder. He dropped the bow and arrow, and he screamed. "Oh, your so going to die," I put Derek on my back and walking out of the woods. I laid him down in the grass and check out his Leg, "s**t that is going to leave a mark." "Get me to a hostpital!" "I can't we are 2 hours away from the city." "Take me! Please!" I picked up Derek and put him in the back seat, I took out his keys from his pocket and start up the car. 2 hours of Derek's whimpering and groaning, "Hurry!" I decided to go a little faster, going over the speed limit.

    As we arrived to the hostpital, I hurried and got Derek out. I rushed him in "someone help ! " Bunch of nurses rushed out and enter the Emergency room. Seeing all the tubes and needles inside Derek killed me inside. "Please wait out there for a little." A nurse said closing the curtains, I coud hear Derek screaming in pain. Couple Hours later i went to see Derek in bed sleeping. I held his hand against my cheek, "Please don't leave me." A Nurse came in with a clip board, "Excuse me but do you know the boy's parents?" "Yes i do, but they don't give a damn about him." "I need an adult here." I quickly called my mom and told her everything she rushed to the hostpital as soon as she could. "Are you the boy's mother?" the nurse asked. Mother and the Nurse walked out and talked outside. I looked at Derek and his beautiful long lashes, then i glanced around at all the needles inside him. I decided to stay the night with Derek, I closed my eyes and Derek's hand was still in my hand.
    That Morning Derek woke up, he woke me up and thanked me for saving him. He tried to get up but i lowerd him down "Please just lay down." I smiled, "Your hand. Why was it holding onto mine?" I was a little shock and speechless, I blushed and kept rubbing my arm. I looked like a complete loser doing that, "Uh, sorry." I chuckled. Derek looked at my blue eye deeply, "Why do you always cover your right eye? I bet it's as beautiful as your left eye." I sat down beside Derek on the bed, "I never told you this but.You see I have." Derek leaned in and put his hand on my cheek and kissed me. I didn't think this was right but, I liked it and i like Derek. I put my arms around Derek and continued kissing him, he removed the hair out of my right eye. He brushed his lips against mine and looked at me. He was startled and a little confused. "You're eyes.." I quickly put my hair over my right eye. "Derek i have,Heterochromia. Which means I have two diffferent colored eyes." I was ashamed, I got up from the bed and looked into the mirror. I removed the hair out of my eyes, my right eye is green and my left eye is blue. I smashed the mirror, "I'm so ashamed, I will never look beautiful like the rest of the girls." I looked back at Derek and tears began to run down my cheeks. Derek stood up and hugged me, "You are still Beautiful to me, Maribell."
