It was three months after the wolf, Raffar, had tried to get into their houses. They all lived in the brick house now, Ennie, Mennie, and Minnie. Minnie was the youngest of the three and the one that had built his house out of hay. Meanie was the middle one and had built his house out of wood. Ennie was the oldest and who had built the brick house they all now live in. But little did they know this whole time Raffar had been watching them. He had been sitting in the shadows outside their house planning his next move. He left that spot occasionally to eat and sleep. After three months he had come up with a plan. He knew where they hid the spare key to the tunnel and he knew where their secret tunnel was.
He waited until night when all three pigs were home from work. Then he left his spot and went to the front door. He started to scratch at the door and howl. The pigs woke up and came to the door. "Who's there?" asked Ennie.
"I'm surprised you don't remember me." The wolf growled. The pigs squealed and ran away from the door into the living room. The wolf blew a couple of times at the house circling around like he had the first time. He could hear laughter from inside and the pigs taunting him. Finally he gave up and left cussing the house and saying he'd be back in three months. The pigs believed him.
Ten minutes later the three pigs had gone back to bed and fallen asleep. Suddenly a squeal came from Minnie's room. Ennie and Mennie ran from their rooms and opened the door to Minnie's. They came to a stop in the doorway, there in the middle of the room was Minnie's head hanging from the ceiling. His eyes were open wide in horror and blood was dripping from his decapitated neck. Ennie and Mennie gasped and ran towards the secret passage.
On the way there they grabbed a candle and headed into the tunnel. They were about half way through when the candle suddenly went out. Laughter came from behind them, "At least I can blow that down." The wolf continued to laugh as the two pigs screamed and started to run towards the exit.
When Ennie exited the tunnel and found himself in the field he turned around to ask Mennie if he was okay. But he wasn't, he wasn't even there for Ennie to ask. "Mennie? Mennie you there?" Ennie whispered into the dark mouth of the tunnel. Suddenly something came flying out of the tunnel and landed next to his feet. He looked down at the decapitated head of his Mennie. Ennie cried out and started walking backwards away from the tunnel.
He heard a half growl half laugh come from inside the tunnel. He started to back up faster, but he tripped and fell to his butt. Then out of tunnel came the most frightening thing the pig could think of. Raffar was standing there at the exit to the tunnel, half shrouded in darkness. He stood there red eyes glowing, full of hate, anger, and bloodlust. He had black fur stained red with the blood of Ennie's brothers. His long claws were sharp and nearly a foot in length, they looked red in the moonlight. He slowing started to move toward Ennie, blood dripping from his claws and an evil smile on his face.
"No, p-p-please spare me. I-I-I'll do anything. Just please d-d-don't kill me." Ennie whimpered as he started to cry. Raffar just kept inching towards him, and a low chuckle started deep in his throat. Then when he was three feet away Raffar lunged. His claws dug into the pigs gut and he picked the pig up off the ground. He removed one of his hands from the pigs gut and held it up ready to slash.
"And now, this ends!" The wolf said as he brought his claws down across the pig's neck. Blood squirted out of the neck where the head used to be. Ennie's head rolled on the grass, coming to rest next to his brothers. Blood pooled on the ground where the body lay, and where the wolf had been, there was nothing. No proof or sign that Raffar had ever existed, except for the three dead bodies.
