• CHAPTER 4
    THE BEST AND WORST DAY
    "Were here," Zack announced. "So........what do you think?" "I.....I think its AMAZING,' I exclaimed. "LOOK," I pointed, "I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!!!" Zack gave a slight chuckle and sat beside me on the grass. "I told you I would give you the tour of the town." "Yeah," I said, "But I didn't think we would be way up here! Who knew parks had very high hills." I gazed upon the scenery of the town. The sun was perfectly set, turning the sky a golden brown. It was just me and Zack. Sitting under the same sky. My body felt at ease, a peaceful type of feeling. Zack and I talked nonstop. I could tell he was having a great time. "Ohhhh if only time could just stand still," I thought to myself. I never wanted this day to end. I wanted to treasure this moment right here, right now, but all moments have to come to an end eventually.

    It was getting dark. The sound of crickets filled the air and it was getting late. "Lets get going Zoey," Zack said as he stood up. "I'll walk you home. It's dangerous for a girl like you to walk by yourself." "Awwww your too nice Zack," I said. "Thats right let a strong, handsome guy like me walk you home," Zack teased. We both laughed like crazy. "Ok ok you proved your point Zack. So lets get going Mr. Strong, Handsome man," I said sacastically.
    We were walking down Fifth Ave. The streets were empty. Nor car, or anything. The luminous moon shined upon the streets. "This is sooo romantic," I thought to myself, "A moonlight walk is just perfect." My face filled with excitement.

    We arrived to the front steps of my house. We had a short talk before we could end the night. "I had a really fun day today Zack! Thanks alot for everything!' "Sure no problem Zoe, ' Zack said. "I had a good time too, espically with you." Zack smiled. My heart began to pound hard. I couldnt stop it. It was his words, his words ment everything to me. Zack mood had then changed. He had an uncomftofable look in his eyes. "Zoey-" His voice trailed off. Zack walked up to me, making my heart race even faster. "Ohh No whats he gonna do," I thought. Zack took his hand and lightly touched my face then played with my hair. His eyes met mine. I cant help but to stare. "Oh Nooo!!!! M-My heart!! I can't controll it At that moment I was sure he could hear the rapid sounds of my beating heart. I closed my eyes just waiting for him to kiss me already. "Ah! I finally got it out," I herd Zack say. I opened my eyes in confusion. "Huh," I asked "What are you talking about? "There was a leaf in your hair," Zack explained. " I was speechless. I made myself look like a fool!!! " But...I....Th..thought u was gonna-" Zack looked puzzled. "Oh nevermind," I said turning the knob on the door. "Well Later Zoey," Zack called out, waving at me. I waved back closing the door behind me. "I can't believe it," I thought. "I was hoping he would kiss me. Stupid leaf in my hair!!!" Something made me wonder. "What if the leaf wasn't there? Then what would he do? Does he only think of me as just a friend," I thought to myself.
    [[Zoey went upstairs. After a long day she takes a bath and heads off to bed. Zack finally made it to his house. He goes up to his room and lies on his bed. Zack looks through his cell phone looking at the pics he took of Zoey. ]]
    "Mann shes soo cute!," He thought to himself. "Why didnt I just kiss her? I was just afraid. I mean, she only likes me as a friend. One day I'll win her over for sure!" Zack closed his phone and went to bed.

    THE NEXT MORNING:

    "NOOOOOOOOO!!! I OVER SLEPT!!!!!" Zoey spang from her bed and quickly got dressed. "IM OFF," Zoey called out to her mom with a piece of toast in her mouth. "I gotta hurry up or I'll be late!"
    [[Zoey ran as fast as her little legs could carry and made it to school with three minutes to spare. ]]
    "Good-Morning Zoey," A group of girls called out from across the room. "Morning," I replied out, of breath. "Morning Zoe, glad you made it this morning," Zack smiled. "Morning Zack! Glad to see you too!"
    I took my seat waiting for class to start. Dachii was already in his seat as well.
    "Good-Morning Dachii-kun," I said happily, trying to atleast be nice to him. Dachii turned around, his face looked annoyed. "Morning," He rudely replied. "Whats his problem," I muttered.
    The bell rang which means it was class time. Students began taking there seats. "Sorry I'm late everyone," The teacher apoligized. "Now then, today our class is going to do a play for the Cultural Festival next week. The play is called Romeo and Julliet!" The class giddied in excitment. "Romeo and julliet," I thought, "Just think! It has a kissing scene with Romeo. Oh I hope Zack and I get this part, It could change everything!!" My face blushed just thinking about it. "I've already assigned the roles out to everyone so there will be no audition," Called the teacher. The teacher went over to her desk to pick up her clipboard with the assigned roles. "Now then students, I will call out for the parts so please listen carefully." I crossed my fingers hoping to get the part of Julliet. "Lady Capulet-" The teacher began, "Is Whittney Nasaki. Lady Montigue will be playef by Michelle Sonata, Romeo's cousin will be, Kanata Syling, Julliets Maid will be Vanessa Sythe, Romeos Father will be played by Sota Lee, Julliets Father will be, Kyo Meralez, and the Prince will be played by Kaito Shagami! Now for the two main roles Romeo and Julliet!," The teacher announced "I know there are most of you left and who ever dosen't get the part will be extras or stage decorators." "OMG i hope I get the part," I prayed. "Now-" the teacher continued. "Julliet will be played by ...........Zoey Hanson!" "YEEEEEEEEES," I thought to myself. My face lit up with joy. "Now all you need to do is assign Romeo to Zack and everything will be perfect." "And the leading role of Romeo will be casted to none other than Dachii Kurosakii!!" My face froze in shock. "I can't believe it," I thought. "So that means I have to kiss...D...Da...DACHII!! Why does bad things always happen to me?" I turnned around to Dachii, knowing I have to work will him from now on. Dachii himself was in shock too. "Look Dachii," I called out to him. Dachii turns around providing me with his full attention. "Since were going to be partners in the play....I suggest we try to get along. I know you hate my guts right now, but I didnt assign the roles so lets just set aside our differences. What do you say," I said letting out my hand. "Fine," He replied "I've got no choice any ways." We shook hands in agreement. "So-" Dachi continued, "I think we should practice at my place today. Meet me at the School Gate at 4:00." I nodded my head. "Ok," I replied. This was going to be the first time at Dachii's house. I couldnt wait, but was nervous at the same time. [[TO BE CONTINUED]]
