Sitting on a piece of driftwood, I take off my shoes. I take off my shoes and delve my feet into the wet sand, far enough to reach the warmth from high noon's sun. He calls me. Always one step ahead, he's already started writing our names in the sand with his toes. "I'll be right there," I shout, but he can't hear me.
The distance between us seems boundless, the air would be tense without him next to me, but the ocean's silver sighs were a calming whisper in my ear. As I watch his silhouette sit itself on the horizon, I begin my trek. Running as hard as I can, we look at each other, our eyes filled with bubbling love. I only leave his exquisite stare once to glance at the deep steely clouds. In that moment I trip on the only blemish there, a tiny black pebble. I hear his airy laughter chime in with mine, and when I look up, I see his hands, with nails painted black- perfect, like always. He helps me up, and I laugh at my blunder. Then, we both silence, and he pulls me close. All I can hear is the ocean, my breathing, and his wondrous heart, beating slowly within his chest.
I drape my arms around him and he leans down to kiss me softly on my forehead. With our heads together, our long hair creates a curtain, melting into one, casting away any unsought light that may dare enter our small sanctuary. It feels like hours, the time we spend fixed on each others eyes. The doors to his mind are beautiful shades of mahogany, they go on into the infinity and look back at me with much adoration. Framed with marvelous blackened eyelashes, his eyes are like precious stones, and I can't stop staring. Slowly, his gaze softens and his lips touch mine...
Sitting on a piece of driftwood, I take off my shoes. I take off my shoes and delve my feet into the wet sand, far enough to reach the warmth from high noon's sun. I turn my head up to look out to the ocean. Silently, I daydream.
