Vivia walked along the cold street. The only name on her mind was Johnathan. He was her life, but through this whole entire relation ship she wanted to know how someone with no soul was able to meet someone as wonderful as him.
His apartment building. Her heart should be fluttering, but it was still. It beat regularly as if nothing was happening, but she could hear his heart pounding like an African drum. Why was that?
Vivia walked up the stairs to the fifth floor, and knocked on the door. It opened within a heart beat. "Hey Via." he said with a smile.
"Hello John." she said with no expression.
"Are you okay.?"
"Am I ever?"
"Not . . . . . really." he gave in.
"Exactly." she walked around. "Did you redecorate?" she asked fiddling with a glass dolphin.
"No, that was a gift." he informed her.
"From who." it was still in her hands.
"From a friend."
"Who?" she asked.
"Via, come sit down."
Her arms tensed. "You're not leaving me." she said.
"But you're never here." he said. "I have to. I want to be happy."
"You're going to regret that." she growled.
"Oh gosh." he murmured.
Vivia's teeth turned into razor sharp fangs, horns pushed their way out of her scalp, her nails stretched into five inch long claws, and blood red spread vines spread their way across her eyes soon making her eyes completely red.
"Via?" he asked.
"She's not here right now, but you can leave a message."
"Who are you then."
"Hell."
His eyes widened in shock.
"Are you scared?" she snarled with a breathy voice. It was menacing, and yet the most beautiful thing about her.
"No,"
"Wrong answer." she was suddenly by him. "You decided to love a demon, now face the consequences."
"Vivia, I love you. I always have, and I always will." his voice trembled slightly.
"This is why I will never be an Angel. Eh, tough love. You'll be an Angel and you can judge me."
"I'll be an angel?" he asked.
"Oh yes. I'd never give you the gift of being able to kill." her clawed hand went around his throat.
"It's not a gift." he choked out.
"Really?"
"Really."
"But then you won't be able to know that persons soul. If I kill you I'll know your soul."
"Then you're not soulless."
"I know souls, but I don't have one."
"How do you know that?" he coughed.
"Well, I had more than a hundred Angels say I'm soulless. I think they outrank me, don'tcha think?"
"No, you are who you want to be."
Vivia's claws plunged into his shoulder, and he yelled in agony.
"What's the matter? You not man enough?" she breathed into his ear.
Her claws came two inches out of his thick shoulder. She shrugged as blood dripped down them, and onto the floor. She started to lick them clean. "You taste good, Johnny-boy." she commented.
He fell to the floor moaning.
"Stand up you weak mortal!" she crouched by him. "Do you still love me." she growled with her breezy voice.
"Yes," he choked out.
Her finger went to his face he flinched but she ignored him, her hand landed on something shiny that dripped down his face. Her finger came back wet, she stuck it in her mouth.
Tears.
She thought.
Why is he crying? Vivia wondered.
Because he's weak. Hell snarled.
No he's not. Vivia said.
He deserves to die. Hell growled.
"No!" Vivia screamed through Hell's lips.
"Vivia?"
The horns receded back into her scalp, as did her claws, her eyes turned back to their original silvery blue, her teeth became human teeth.
"Yes, it's me." Vivia wrapped up his shoulder.
"I love you."
"No you don't, and I'm okay with that."
"You are?"
"Yes," her lips brushed his forehead, and she left.
"Thank you." she murmured on the street. "For helping me find my soul."
And with that she walked into the sunrise, and disappeared into Heaven to join the other Angels for eternity.
