• fairy tales aren't all grand.........

    One......two........three....I looked around hesitantly one last time.
    Then I jumped my feet flew off the red steel.Then I found myself diving head first in the air from what seemed like fifty thousand feet up.Headed straight towards the water at moch speed.Cold peircing air rushed passed me almost forming cuts on my skin.My body was on fire as distant sounds of cars driving down a nearby road.I closed my eyes knowing it was almost time it would all end,and it finaly be over with.

    I heard the strech of the rope attached to me as suddenly I was forced back up into the air.I grabbed the cord and held tight to the elastic,"I'm safe the worst is over." I told myself,but slowly reaching it's peak height I started to fall again,and then tradegy struck.After a while I stoped dead hanging in the air suddenly the rope lurched as I started to be pulled up back onto the ledge.
    I looked up about halfway back up,and saw the instuctor a dead look in her eyes.She yanked the cord,lost her legging,and fell.Causing me to fall in the process.I looked for her and treid to yell for help but the air muffled my voice.

    I looked up and found her falling freely in the air.Something on her back shone glittering I stared at her for another moment almost mesmerized until.With great force I was pulled upwards.My stomache lurched,but I held my hands out to catch her rather than protect my stomache.She fell right into my arms I pulled her up almost dropping her,and slowly we bobbed for a couple minutes.
    Once again at a dead stand still;I looked down at her.She was awake,she didn't look hurt,and she had....wings.

    They were crystal clear almost see thorugh.Rainbow colored crystals slowly shone in the light,and she smiled at me,"Thank you."
    I stared at her for another moment amazed,and then looked up at the rope.
    Slowly really slowly it snapped."TWANG!'
    We fell I held onto her and we fell freely through the air.

    She started flapping her wings,and held my hand trying to save me.
    She looked tired already.I couldn't let her go to......so I let go,and fell.
    Fell one last time.
    This time I was sure I wouldn't fly back up.....
