*Rosalie*
I was called into the building in the back. The one I didn't go into before. I opened the door slowly and hesitantly. "Hello?" My voice echoed.
"Come in, child." I heard Bethnea speak to me. I entered the scarlet room.
Bethnea was standing in front of a desk, looking at me with bright brown eyes and a smile. "Uh...hi." was all I could manage. "Take a seat, deary." Bethnea nodded towards a chair and I sat down, attentive.
"Tell me more about yourself, Rosalie." She asked. What was there to say about myself? Nothing really. "I was ditched at someones doorstep when I was born. I never really stuck to one place very long. No one wanted me. I dropped out of school when I was sixteen and lived on my own since then. I don't have friends, I lost my job, and that's pretty much it." Bethnea looked at me, soulfully.
"You are very special, Rosalie." she closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath through her nose. "Your true name is Rosalie Belli. You are from a very long line of witches." She smiled. "Your bloodline is stronger than my own, child."
"What?" I raised a brow. I didn't really understand. "Is your bloodline big or something?"
Bethnea laughed.
"Well, of course. Score's and Belli's are like Angels and Demons. . .in a sense." I didn't like the way she said that.
Was she saying that one side was good and the other side was bad? Or that one of us were from heaven and the other hell? "So who's the angel and who's the demon?" I asked, not really thinking it through. The woman's eyes flickered to the side. "That, my child. . .you should not know till you are ready." She turned around.
"But-"
"We are going to stop talking about it now." She grinned. I wanted to argue, but I didn't bother. She rummages through a bookshelf and pulled out a thick book, leather bound. I use to see those in the stores back in the day, the stores I'd find myself wondering into. "What is that?"
"Some people will call it a "Book of Shadows" others will call it "Witches Grimuar" All of our bloodlines have one, and only a few have the originals." She placed the book onto a desk. "This is your families. Belli..." She said that name a little bit to creepy for my taste. "Well, you know. Wow." I forced a yawn. "I'm tired, I'll read this before I go to sleep." I stood up to take the book, when she grabbed my wrist.
I felt a sudden cool feeling strum my muscles like guitar strings. Her eyes were closed, and she had a stern face. "Beware of Samantha, Rosalie. You do not want to cross her." Her eyes shot in my direction and I froze. "Okay..." I said, my breath quavering. She let go of my wrist, turning and sitting down by her desk. "I am sorry for that, Rosalie. But I needed to tell you."
I went up stairs and got ready for bed. I was reading the book she had given me. It didn't have many things, no...only thing I could read about was this Fiona Belli...
"Fiona Belli is the mother to the Belli bloodline. She lived many, many years ago. The Belli bloodline is not bound by one ability, but can learn and do many other things such as the Score bloodline."
"Belli Estate was built by Ricardo Belli, butler and keeper to the estate."
The book was giving me only in formation about Belli. Fiona Belli. I didn't understand, wasn't this a book of shadows? Where were all the spells and potions? I sighed, placing the book on my night stand and getting under my covers. What was the point of reading it now? I closed my eyes, falling into a sleep.
"Where am I?" I asked myself. I wondered into a tall building. It looked rather old and historic to me. Victorian almost, but modern. I opened the large door to enter a great hall with a woman standing by the stairs. She was beautiful, almost unnatural. "We have been expecting you."
She spoke with an English accent. I raised a brow. "Who are 'we'?" I asked. She took slow strides towards me. Her expression never changed, and the way she walked was strange. "Come with me to the Mistress." The corners of her mouth lifted slightly, and I cringed.
*Dagger* I was wondering around town. It was late at night, and I had just fed off a young adult in their death bed. I had no remorse for humans. It was in my nature, you could say. I found myself a seat on the fountain in the middle of town center. My eyes were back to their normal red color. Whenever I would get ticked, or hungry, they would turn black. Our fangs always stayed with us, but to the humans we could change our appearance. To that human girl across the way I could look like a smiling young man with blue eyes and tan skin. . .which is what I use to look like, before I died.
I didn't like thinking about it much. I was an angry soul, and now even more angry since I figured out there are witches living in this town. Why me? Why is it always me? Not to mention she smelled of that witch years ago, the one that I can't even remember. Bloodlines ticked me off.
I wondered back to our little home up on the hills by the sea, thinking about things. I new that Lucian had spoken about my past to Sashi earlier. I didn't bother with a fight, even though I could use one right now. I went through the door to see the two playing chess. I raised a brow, trying not to laugh. "This should be a post-card. Two vampires playing chess." I crossed my arms. Lucian rolled his eyes, making a move.
Sashi, with her childish smile knocked over his knight with her pinky, putting her bishop in its place, whispering. "Check Mate." Lucian smacked his face with his hands, then slowly dragging them down. "I can't believe I lost to someone who has never even played chess before in her life."
"Beginners luck." She teased.
I walked passed them and flopped onto the couch. "Aren't you two hungry?"
"We already ate." Lucian said, putting away the chess pieces. I heard Sashi's foot steps as she walked over to me, sitting next to me. "How are you feeling?" She asked with a smile. I barely gave her an answer. "Meh."
She grunted in frustration, standing up. "Well. Whatever, I'm going to bed."
"Have sweet memories." I mumbled, and she disappeared up stairs. Lucian sighed, "I wish she gave me that type of attention."
"You lack the looks." I joked. I felt his glare his the back of my head. "I was kidding."
"Yeah, yeah. So, any new encounters?" He walked over, sitting down in the chair in front of me. I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees. "Lucian. It felt like her."
"Her as in...Jillian?"
I flinched at the name. Jillian...how I hated that name. Lucian cursed under his breath, surprised. "It's not like she wants to kill you, dude. She would have done it already when she saw you."
"What makes you think she isn't waiting for the right time?" I snapped.
Lucian tried to calm me down, "Come on. You want me to call in Raya?"
"Oh no, please don't call in Raya." Just what I needed, a sarcastic little bratty Dhampir. Dhampir were a cross between vampire and human. It was a very rare breed, and Raya was one of the only around. Lucian had a connection with her, and she sort of had a...tie with him. "She can spy on them for us. She can blend in. She doesn't smell like a vampire at all! Come on."
"You talking about me?"
Damn it.
I stood up to see her standing by the doorway, smiling. "Dagger, Lucian. Been a while. Now, what is it you want me to do?"
"Don't you know that popping in like that can get you killed." I bared my fangs. She didn't even flinch. "You don't scare me, Dagger. I thought I cleared that up."
"Come on children. Do I have to put you two in time out?"
I hated Lucian at the moment. I really, really disliked Raya.
*Rosalie* "I had a really weird dream last night." I said to Sarah as we walked into the building. "It was like...I went to this castle place...and this chick greeted me and..I don't remember the rest." I shook my head. "Hmm..." Sarah tilted her head, tapping her finger against her chin. "Weird. You should tell Bethnea."
"Oh, I really don't fee like doing that." I shook my head, walking inside the building.
I took my seat next to Sarah, and got a glare from a red haired girl sitting next to Morgan, another girl a met there. Bethnea smiled. "Good morning girls. Today, we are going to talk about Vampires."
I blinked. Vampires? What?
