• I didn’t understand it. What was it about this place that appealed to me? Crazed laughter echoed across the hills. An eerie music hung around the trees as they swayed. Leaves rustled as the Unseen jumped and ran across the branches, searching for what I did not know. An earthy aroma wafted up my nose as I sat in soft grass, green and lush. The forest floor was damp with the morning dew and a chill hung in the air. There were no clouds in the sky, and yet you could never see the sun. But for some reason unknown to me, I kept coming back. Maybe it was the serenity that I could not find in any earthly place. Or maybe it was the solitude of this barren land. Whatever the reason, I thought this place was beautiful.
