A young girl walks along a dark and jagged road. Her shoes are so worn, she can feel the
smallest of pebbles on the bottom of her feet. Her clothes have become nothing but rags,
barely holding on to her skin. You can tell in her eyes that they have seen more then they
should at such a young age. They tell a story that would make even the toughest and strongest man in the world cower in fear. But if you look deeper in her eyes, you can still she a glimpse of that innosence that most lose after experiencing the things that she has. She has never felt hate, and that darkness that slowly starts to consume a persons heart is non-
existant. Unlike most people who see in black and white, she sees in white, gray and
everything in between. No one is more or less important then the next and everyone deserves a second chance.
As she continues to walk that jagged road, she sees a small light illuminating the distance.
Even though she is quite far from the small light, she can still feel its warmth. WIth each
step she takes the small light becomes bigger and bigger and the warmth becomes greater and greater. Finally she reaches the light. Its so hot that her skin should be burning, but its
not.
Back in the distance she hears yelling, followed by the sound of arrows leaving the bow. She
turns around to 14 arrows, each standing for someone who has hurt her, heading towards her. She covers her eyes with her beaten hands, knowing that she did not want to die, but at the same time hoping ot would all end soon. Suddenly, the light behind her got even brighter, sending out 14 thick rays of light. She uncovered her face, wondering why she hasn't been hit by the arrows yet,to see the rays of light burning each arrow as they came rocketting towards her. Then all 14 rays combinded into two larger ones and wraping itself around her, holding her close, trying to protect her. She hears a soft and calming voice tell her to close her eyes. She nods and closes her eyes, as the light shoots out, making everyone that had shot the arrows disapear. Then the voice tells her that it is safe to look. The young girl looks up to see all of her oppressors gone.
She turns around, the rays still holding her in an embrace and asks the light who it is.
The light slowly takes the shape of a tall, skinny man with red, short hair. The rays of light around her becomes his arms. He looks down at her and replies, "I am your protector. Nothing shall ever harm you. Not anymore."
