    Chapter 3

Hermione got up to follow Ron and Harry after the feast.
“What did Malfoy say?” Ron asked.
    Hermione shook her head.
“Come on what, Hermione?” Ron insisted. “I’m going to punch that guy in the face right now!”
“Ron, Ron! At least save it for tomorrow. I bet he’s already in the Slytherin common room by now,” Harry said as he grabbed Ron’s arm.
“Fine but he’ll get what he deserves tomorrow, I tell you that!” Ron muttered.
    Hermione just followed them silent.

“So what class do you have today?” Cassandra asked Draco, as they walked down to breakfast.
All around them people were whispering. Probably wondering how come Draco suddenly wasn’t bothering everyone like he normally did, or why Draco was so nice to the new girl, or…about Draco and Hermione.
“Double potions first,” Draco made a face.
Cassandra raised her eyebrow. “I thought you would like potions, Snape teaches that class, doesn’t that mean you get the special treatment,” she smiled.
“Yeah, but…Hermione’s in that class,” Draco sighed.
“Oh,” Renesmee said quietly, Draco liked that about Cassandra, she didn’t ask him a bunch of questions.
“Well I have double potions too,” Cassandra said.
“VERDANA” a loud voice yelled from behind them.
    Draco doubled over coughing violently.
Cassandra whipped her head around to see Ron with his wand out, with Harry and Hermione standing behind him. Hermione face was turned away in pain, but she made no move to stop Ron.
“Wow that’s all that spell does! It makes your enemy cough,” Ron said unhappily.
Cassandra knelt by Draco, as he started to cough up blood.
“Oh…” Ron said. “Maybe we should go now…”
They turned and walked to the great hall. Student’s stopped to stare.
Cassandra handed Draco a handkerchief. “Maybe you should go see Madam Pomfrey,” Cassandra suggested.
Draco shook his head. “I’m fine, Cassie,” Draco said standing up.
    “Well then okay,” Cassandra said.
They pushed past the crowd who had gathered around them and made their way to the Great Hall.
The sat at the Slytherin table, though they didn’t eat anything.
“Thanks Cassie, not just for that, for everything,” Draco said suddenly.
    “Oh, no problem,” Cassandra said.
Draco leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
Some people gasped, which caused other people to turn and see what was going on.
Pansy turned slightly around in Kyle Mason’s arm to gawk at Draco. Kyle seemed to be always dating his ex.
Cassandra smiled but frowned when she saw Hermione stand up and run off.
Draco turned and followed her gaze, he groaned.
    “Oh great,” he mumbled.
“Go after her Draco. I know you still love her, you’re just afraid she’ll get hurt. It’s okay, just tell her the truth,” Cassandra said.
“I can’t tell her the truth,” Draco sighed.
“Maybe she’ll understand, Draco,” Cassandra said softly.
    Draco shook his head.
Cassandra sighed. “We should be getting to class,” she said grabbing her book bag.
Draco stood up and followed her.
