- Once in this little village in africa, a small boy of the name Maalik was brought into the world in 1989. He was raised by Madu and Janna, and he had a older sister by the name of Sadaka. Maalik grew up in a dangerous village, and he didnt like it. He barely saw his dad because he was always working. Maalik stayed in with his mom and took care of his sister, she had a heart condition and she wasnt going to live much longer. But they never gave up hope. When Maalik was 10 his sister finally passed away, soon after that his mother had passed away due to the same condtion. This tore Maalik apart, day in and day out he would sob for his passed away members. When he got to the age of 15 he started to work with his dad, so all his time went to work so it occupied his mind. One day coming back from gathering food, he noticed a group of boys fighting. They werent really fighting, they were more like boxing. Maalik found interest in this and sat down to watch. He did this everyday, watching these fights happen. One day when he was 18 he challenged one of the 4 men. He had alot of guts to stand up to someone older and bigger, but of corse they accepted. But what they didnt know is that they were being watched by US citizens donating food and helping the villagers with some needs. As Maalik fought all 4 men, one of the citizens was talking to his brother in law. His brother in law was a boxing coach, so he found Maaliks talents amazing. As Maalik was walking home the man stopped him and asked how long he was fighting. Maalik answered that that was his first time. The man was astonished, and asked Maalik if he would come fight in America. Maalik was shosked and quickly said yes, he didnt put any thought into it and ran home. He packed all his things and told his dad he was leaving, but his dad had stopped him. He held out a wooden cross, that his wife had made before she passed away, and handed it to Maalik. Madu told his son to never forget his family and to always be strong. Maalik gave his father a hug and promised that he would come back for him one day, then he left. The citizens were waiting by where the kids fight and took off when Maalik arrived. The whole trip to New York, Maalik thought about his father and kinda regreted leaving him. They arrived in New York City and maybe two hours after they landed they got straight to training. He practiced day in and day out til he was the age of 20, then he became a legened. He fought countless people and remained undefeated during this process. Soon he had won every match he could so this brought him to the championship match with Patrick Levington. Days before the match Maalik flew to Africa to bring his dad home, and this is when he found out that his dad was killed by another man. Maalik with rage in his eyes asked where then man was but he was long gone. With the loss of all his family this upset and sorrowed Maalik. He left a moment after he found out the death of his dad. Two days later the match was set up and ready to go. Moments before Maalik went to the ring, he got on his knee and prayed to his family to give him strength, courage, and most importantly love. When he stepped into that ring, bowed his head and prayed again. Then the match started, both men fought bravely and honorablely. But in the end Maalik was the victor. With his new found title he flew back to Africa to visit his dead family. And on his dads grave he put his trophy, and his gloves on his sisters. Then he took the cross off, kissed it and put it on his moms grave. He then prayed again, and thanked them for bringing him into this world. After that year he remained the Champion, and returned to their graves and thanked them.
