Intro-The thing that started it all
As long as Rackel could remember she had always been in charge of the security of the Lord's son,who we all call "Prince". The boy ,her age and race of halfblood, who always wore purple attires that showed off his pure white tail and ears, with the hereditary blue tips, and never said a word so much so that she ignored him most of the time, only when completely necessary. Rackel was only twelve years old when she became an official palace knight. She came from a line of heavy duty line of Cheifknights, the official protectors of the Lord, also known to many by "The King", and the marines of war that made any regular army look like Sparta against the small counrty of Czechoslovakia, that were created when Rackel's great great grandfather save the secound former Lord. She had been in training for as long as she can remember, military and stragity-wise.She and her squad men wore simple first class military uniforms to disguise themselves.Pants to make her male and military vest ,that contained a small knife, over a simple pair of white shorts, all camouflage,of coarse. Shes a naturalborn halfblood, so for all who know her, her tail and ears are completly normal. So when her daily routine is just the same she isn't suprised, but what she didnt expect was the fact that she would have to hide her protectie ,like a mother hen.Thats when she began barks out orders to her men.The Prince is trapped, she thought as she sized up the situation.
She had heard that emperer,Muz-Vet, of the outisde lands had been on the move conquering for quite some time, yet the last news we recieved was that his army was about a good nine hundred miles away. Giving them about a good two weeks worth of preparations in the small knigdom of Sparxia, but by the reactions of her people it became clear that today was just not the day they expect to see his army barge in. This means that their army was not prepared; their army had been defeated;their amry had surrendered or had been completely annihilated. Her mother and father were in the front line...Rackel quickly put that out of her mind, she had to prtect the Prince.Maybe, just maybe, protecting him this time might earn her her magix and weapon rights, her goal so far.
That dream soon died the moment a commander took a small crying child by the collar and throwing him against a wall. The child never made a single sound afterwards. Following their commander's lead many took out bows and magix weapons then shot or destroyed anyone in the way. Little did Rackel realize that she was in the way, till a magix arrow stabbed her straight in the shoulder. She yelped out in pain and lost immediatly the sight of her protectie.Through her daze she was able to make out the Prince running into a nearby alley of the area they were in.
What a smart boy,she thought to herself. She picked herself up of the dirt road and swayed torward the aile. Despiteher well known senses, everything around her moved so slow and seemed like a surreal old black and white film.I kept repeating,I have to stay next to him! Prince over you! Come on Rackel, move!
So she did,she pushed and pushed. She found that he was hidding behind garbage cans. Already on her knees she bowed and said, My Prince...sorry to say but we must move. You must get out of the city....Hurry while i still hav a breath in my body. While the enemy is far off and uknowing of your presense. Let us hope our Lord's army is on the way,she lied, come my Prince let us go,she insisted. He nodded never saying a word. Good, she thought. She took his shaken hand and with the reserve of strength she thougth she never had,she burst into a full sprint with the Prince right next to her.She then ran into a sight,a couple blocks later, that left her with a scar in her heart and soul. Their Royal army laid in ruins and in piles, civilians were seperated from their loved ones and had them killed before their eyes, men took daughters from their mothers, piles of bodies were being burned, and the very beings that brought her into this world were in the first pile in front of her. Their stares held no life, no love, no protection, or encouragement. She was left alone to protect the Prince. Her men no where to be found. The very men that she grew up training with ,no where ,probley dead like her parents. Her shoulder was taking more and more energy to ignore;the prince must have thought the same because now he was the one pulling her along. She was numb at that point. She was the only one left, until she noticed they had stopped and that her protectie had been talking to her.
ChiefKnight Kanzaz!,he shouted worried for his bodyguard, Chiefknight Rackel Layla Kanzaz! Do hear me?!,he continued .Halfheartedly, she nodded not even realizing that he had spoken to her for the first time in three months that didnt involve a direct "yes" or "no", so technically its the first time he has ever spoken to her directly.Yes...Sir...she replied out of pure habit.
We have to go,now! Prince yelled,Rackel just nodded paying attention on how the Prince continued to hold her hand. How had things come to this?,she thought only to herself. Yet,she was paying attention to her surroundings and every movement in the book. She noticed a shadow following her and her protectie. She didn't care until it threatened their well-being when it pulled out an object much like a sword and headed torward the Prince. They must have mistaken them for civilians and was going for the supposed stronger male. Pushing the Prince out of the way,she took the blow to her back and she felt it sting down her shoulder blade to her left hip.She stiffled a scream and kicked the enemy in the stomach.
Stop! Please! The enemy screamed in her language.
Who are you to try to kill the Prince!!! Rackel screamed to the stranger, half in pain.
A civilian! I thought you were enemy! He yelled. I am Keerel! My Lord's son I know a way off the city!To the other side and evacuation is being made! I will take you and your bodyguard with me,my Lord's son!
Take him! Rackel told him, as she slid down the nearest wall on her side. Protect him, you have taken away what was left of me.Go.
Chiefknight Kanzaz! He yelled to me, falling on his knees next to me.Since when had the Prince become so little,so young, so caring? I won't leave you! Not after the three years you protected me! I refuse it!
My lord! You very well know it! You at this point are not a prince! So do not act like one! Prince Logan Chris Aaquie under the order of the Royal Chiefknights Council...and leader...I name thee LordSparx of the Flamel Clan the Third, Long Hail Lord Logan! May the spirits of those who shed blood for our country watch over you.May I continue to speak in your presense,my Lord? I declared weakly.Keerel kneeled and remained so until the end of conversation to take the Lord away.
You may my loyal vessel...you may as long as you want Chie-...Rackel.....He stumbled, trying to call me by my first name just like his father always did for his followers.
As the stars may guide you, I promise by the burning corpses of my parents that we will meet again,Lord Logan,I shall find you.Maybe not soon but remember me, my Lord, this will seem like a dream now but it isn't.It never will be,I spoke to him as a faded away,we will meet again i feel it in my heart that we will, perhaps
in the afterlife...see you my Lord Prince...,and i fell away.
