My head shot up off the white pillow. My fingers gripped the warm white sheets. I wasn't in my own room, but HIS room. I clenched my teeth, and whisked the sheets off my body my eyes wide.
"YOU IDIOT!!" I yelled at no one. There was a large lump in my throut despite my loud voice, and my heart felt shattered into a bazillion pieces. The walls were still a deep red, the bed messed up from my restless sleep. Outside the sky was dark, and the white flakes still fell. Small wet beads streamed down my cheeks.
A small candle burned on the dark, oak desk, which was beside the familiar bookshelf, colorful spines of books filling nearly every square inch of space. I raised my hand up to my chest and clutched my shirt trying to hold back the rage that piled up inside me, and squeezed my eyes shut.
"I'll always remember," I repeated the words from the last time i saw him, "and i won't forgive you either," I leaped off the bed and looked at the picture of him and me on his desk.
I clenched my teeth. The pain overshadowing my love for him, and held the picture up against the wall, and smashed my fist into the glass. Warm red beads dripped off my knuckles, slight pain pinching my hand, small shards sticking out. "This isn't the first time you've forgotten about me..." I remembered several times he tried to leave, and i had always beat him down because of it. "this time i won't let you back,"
My pale fingers wrapped around the candle and i tossed it to the floor. The flames instantly surrounded me, destroying the furniture and walls, and wooden floor. The golden flames licked at my skin, and where they touched, small spots of blue glowed on my arms and legs.
Davion was the one who taught me about my special abilities. The fire tried to burn me along with the house, but seemed frustrated when it couldn't and moved up the walls instead. Breezes were beginning to enter the building, feeding the fire and causing the flames to rise higher into the air. Small wings began to sprout out of my back. Davion's work to make me powerful were wasted, but i wouldn't let them go to waste.
I was surprised at how angry i was, seems like i would still love him without any hate in the mix. Nothing but love except sorrow. Did i always hate him? I asked myself, slamming what was left of the door behind my back.
"This time... you will regret breaking me AGAIN!" I pushed off the ground, running as fast as my new body's legs would take me.
~~ Flames lick at my skin,
trying to burn me.
But nothing can make my ashes,
besides being free
from your love. </3
