A mother looked at the two twins she had born. She smiled tiredly, before sighing. She closed her eyes and her breathing slowed. That night, these two sisters' mother died. Their father loved them, but he was always away on business making money to keep the girls in a comfortable lifestyle. They loved him to, but they missed him. Truth be told, they were bored without him. Until one day, when the girls made a discovery that would change their lives forever. Solara hurried downstairs, she was only around the age of five. "Luna! Where are you? Luna!" she called. Luna was a couple of minutes older than Solara, and she loved to be around her. "Luna!"
"Solara? What is it?" Luna turned the corner. She was wearing black pants and a grey shirt." What’s wrong?"
"Luna!" she cried as she ran toward Luna. She smiled hugely and was positively glowing. A soft light shimmered around her as she skipped around Luna. She wasn't aware of this light, but whenever she came closer to Lunaria the light dimmed as though it had been swallowed. "Luna, I'm so glad I found you! I thought you'd run away!"
"Run away? Why would I run away? I wouldn't run away without you at least." Luna laughed.
"Oh, yeah I guess." She thought for a second. "Hey look, I found out this today!" she ran and turned out the lights. The light around her was more apparent now. "I have light around me!" she giggled.
"Whoa. Ouch." Luna averted her eyes. "That’s bright." Luna laughed, “That’s really cool. How did you find that out?" ' That light is a little too bright. I don’t like it." she thought.
"Well, last night I had to get a drink. But it was to dark, then I started glowing." She giggled then she stepped close to Lunaria and the light went out. She started. "Luna! What did you do to my light?"
"Huh? I didn’t do anything. Maybe it just went out." "Huh?" she frowned then stepped away and the light returned.
"It didn't go out, you... Ummmmm..." she thought for a while. "You have dark around you like I have light!" she turned on the light and pointed the shadows around Lunaria. She grinned, proud of her discovery.
'Dark? 'Is this good or bad?' " Ok umm what does this mean. How did this happen? What should we do? Should we tell Daddy when he gets home?"
Solara giggled, she was almost always carefree. "You know, I bet we can make pretty things out of our light and dark." She concentrated really hard and the light around her morphed into a misshapen butterfly. It fluttered a little before dissipating. Solara giggled in glee.
"Hey, make a shadow butterfly! Come on Luna!" Far off two magicians perked their heads. They each sensed another person with their power. One light magician sensed Solara, on dark Magician sensed Luna. They both jumped up, this was the first time they had sensed others with the same powers as them. They both sent horsemen towards that little house, each with orders to take one little girl. "Come on Luna! Make a shadow butterfly!" she pleaded.
"Ok I’ll try.” Luna closed her eyes and concentrated. The darkness started to form wings. But they were something like bat wings. " I guess I cant do it." Luna looked away from her sister.
"It looked pretty anyway. Luna, don't be sad." she hugged her. Then there was a smashing of glass, a breaking of doors. Two types of soldiers ran in. One dressed in white, the other in black. When they saw each other they immediately drew weapons. "Protect the girl!" was the cry as both the girls were grabbed and dragged away by different soldiers. They were dragged out to the magicians who gently lifted them onto horses. Meanwhile the soldiers behind them were fighting fiercely. The magicians said a quick spell and soon the sisters were out of each other’s reach. "Let me go! I need my sister! Let me go!" Solara writhed and screamed. "Where is Luna?! Let me go!"
"Solara! Solara! Where are you?! Let me go!" Luna struggled trying to get out of the attackers grasp and trying to get to her sister. She felt a pain on the back of her neck and she saw black.
"Silly girl, you don't have a sister." there was a sharp blow to Solara's head and she saw a flash of bright light. She fainted, and when she woke up the magician was at his castle. She walked up to him and he smiled, rubbing a hand on her head. "Time for you to get stronger." "Ok father."
Luna woke up with a throbbing pain on the back of her head. "My child you have awakened" a voice said. Luna looked around until her eyes landed on a figure. " Father" "Lets go Luna. You have training to do" "Yes Father" Luna followed the man out of the room.
From that day on till her 18th birthday Solara trained relentlessly. Due to the spell the magician had put on her she never remembered her sister. Soon her power was equal to that of her father's. The day had come; her father would no longer stand for the Dark Magician's existence. He sent Solara out to see how strong he was and, if the chance arose, to kill him. She performed a uick spell called 'shunpo' and was in front of the Dark Magician's castle. She stood out front, waiting for something to happen before she went in.
Luna had been training everyday until she couldn’t stand until her 18th birthday. The man who she calls father had given her a day off of training. She was sitting on the roof. She saw a figure and pulled out her weapon. She waited.
Solara knocked on the big gate, she sensed someone. She spun round, her hand surrounded by glowing white light. Instantly she sent a white light bolt into the tree completely setting it alight.
Luna jumped from the roof into the cover of some trees. She sees a light coming at her. She dodged it. Then she walked out of the trees to face the attacker.
"My name is Solara Lightfire, who are you to spy on me?"
"I am Luna Darklight and this is where I live. So who are you to be trespassing?" ' Is this really her. Is this really my twin sister?'
Solara looked at this creature of the dark with barely hidden disdain. "I am here on official business. I come bearing a message from my father, Magicia of Light."
"Well then, follow me. I will take you to my father." Luna turned toward the castle and started walking.
Solara put away her weapon. As she followed Luna she made small light butterflies to amuse herself. They were beautiful and intricate; they had much improved since that first try so long ago. They fluttered around her, giving her a very ethereal look as they walked down the dark halls. Her own natural light shimmered off her, but the butterflies were also bright.
'Well she really has improved with those butterflies.' they walked to a large door. " "Unfortunately you need to get rid of those little butterflies. My father doesn’t like to much light" she opened the door and walked in. "Lunaria what brings you here?" "Father you have a messenger from Magica of Light." Luna bowed and walked to the side.
With a snap of her hand the butterflies disappeared. "I come with a message from the Magica. He wishes you step down as his rival and come to his castle to discuss terms of your surrender to him and arrange your fealty." she said this with no shame, her head held high.
"How dare you come in here thinking that I am going to step down from my seat of power! I wont go down without a fight." the Dark Lord looked over to Luna. "Lunaria get rid of this disturbance." "Yes Father." Luna bowed. She looked over at Solara and her eyes turned all black. She pulled put her weapon and charged at Solara. 'I can’t kill her but I can’t let father know that I know she’s my sister.'
Solara sighed. This was too dangerous. In the castle of dark she could already feel the darkness trying to swallow her light. She needed to get somewhere closer to the outside. When Luna charged at her she flipped back onto one hand, sprung off that hand to a stand then repeating this till she has some space. She did this all very quickly whilst gathering light around her. When she had some space she sent a lightning fast butterfly into Luna's face. It's wings expanded and wrapped around Luna. Using this as a distraction she turned and jumped out the window down 20 stories to the ground. She stopped for a second, slightly winded before getting up and drawing her weapon.
Luna cursed "I'm sorry father. I will get her." she ran over to the window, climbed on the windowsill, and she sprouted black wings. She landed safely on the ground. 'Lets see how good she’s gotten over all this time.
Solara had run a bit, and then set her trap. She jumped up behind Luna pressing her sword to Luna's neck.
"Die dark scum!" she hissed into Luna's ear. "I hope you rot in hell!"
" I guess light will beat darkness today. I couldn't have picked a better person to kill me. I shall die at the hands of my own sister." Luna smiled. " You really have gotten better. I hope that your life is good to you." She bowed her head waiting for the sword to slice through her neck.
"Sister? I have no sister." Solara laughed. "I suppose this is some lame attempt to save your own hide. Scum!"
Luna looked up and looked at Solara. " I may have control over darkness but that doesn’t mean that I am evil or that I am lying." Luna looked deep into Solara's eyes" you are my sister but I guess I am the only one of us who knows. Don’t you remember the day we found out about the light and darkness around us? You tried to make a butterfly but it was misshapen. Then you told me to try and all I could do was make bat wings." She laughed.
"Yeah right, I don't know what you're thinking. But if you aren't going to hurt me cause I'm your 'sister' then I'll kill you." She stepped back. "Fight back or you'll die."
"As you wish." Luna pulled out her weapon and waited for Solara to make a move.
Solara's sword rested in Solara's hands perfectly. In a mocking gesture she made a light butterfly flutter in front of Luna's face. Suddenly a misty memory hit her. She grimaced and held her head, falling to the ground. She screamed as a white light pain flashed across her face, revealing many lost memories. "Luna! Where are you?" she moaned.
Luna walked over to Solara, dropping her sword. " I am right here my sister." as if to prove her point she sprouted a small pair of bat wings. " I am here for you."
She moaned. "Luna... I am going to die, aren't I?"
"No you won’t die. I wont let you. That light, I think, was giving you back your memories. You remember don’t you, that our real father is still out there. He probably misses us so much." Luna looked around. " Come with me to find him please. "
"No, the light is what will kill me sister. He never wanted me to know. I was his or dead. Now that I know the reaction has been set off. In only 12 days, I'll be dead."
" No I can’t lose you. Not now!" Luna thought for a while. "I have to keep you from dying. There has to be a way. Wait! What if we stop the feud between the Light and Dark Lords? "
Solara shivered. "I don't know, but I am going to kill the Magicia. He took even the memory of you away from me. I missed having you. For this he will pay with his life." she spoke bitterly and she stepped to her feet. I will begin to get weak in 9 days; I will get weaker until I die on the 12th. She thought.
" And I’ll help. He took you away from me. You can be the one to kill him I’ll just be there for support. Wait here for just a little while. I have to get some things." Luna disappeared in a shadow. She appeared in her room and gathered her things. The last things she grabbed were two lockets. She put one on and put the other in her pocket. She disappeared in a shadow once again and appeared next to her sister. "Here." she handed the other locket to Solara. " These were gifts from mother. She was going to give them to us when we were 5 but she died. I found them that day that we were taken from father."
"Thanks. Let's go." Solara held out a hand and a light gathered around them. "Let's go to the castle." She spelled the place she wished to go and soon they arrived at the Light Castle.
" Alright you know this place better than I do." Luna looked around and then an idea came to her head. " To get close to him I’ll say I am here as a representative for The Dark Lord. Here to discuss some terms."
"No, it would be better if you pretended to be a prisoner." she wrapped a light line around Luna and led her into the castle to the seat of the Magicia.
"Father, I brought the Darkician's daughter."
Luna's face gained an irritated look. She pretended to struggle against the light line. She knew that she had to look mad so she thought of the Dark Lord, whom she hated to the bottom of her heart. " Uggh let me go! My father wont be happy if you keep me here."
The Magicia laughed. "You're father, though he is Lord of Dark, has a kind heart. Were it my daughter in his hands, he would probably send her back. I however am not so kind. Take her to the dungeons and tell the Darkician that we have his daughter." Solara bowed and dragged Luna away to the dank dungeon.
They were walking down the halls. Luna made sure they were out of earshot. "Ok sis take me down to the dungeon and take some time to make up a plan. You have to make it look like nothing has happened. Come to me at night and we will carry out the plan."
Solara didn't say a thing, instead roughly pushing Luna into a dark cell. She looked angry. "Don't think I ever cared for you. You are to naive." With that she turned on her tail and walked away. She was so sad, but she had to try to get her sister away without letting her know what she was planning.
Luna fell to the floor. She looked up in time to see her sister walking away. " I guess that I just wanted my sister back so much I never thought of the possibility that she was tricking me." Luna leaned against the wall and started to make shadow butterflies. ' I couldn't do this before but all that training has helped me to control darkness and shadows.'
Solara came to a light guard. "Take that prisoner outside and execute her. Tell no one and make sure you are the only one who takes her. Understand?" "Yes ma'am!" the soldier ran out and grabbed Luna pulling her out of the castle. Solara knew Luna could easily kill the soldier and so she would be safe. Solara realized that she was just as ruthless as her father.
"Best we both go then." She ran to her father’s chamber. He looked up in surprise. Her hands already were in the shape of an 'x' and she was screaming,
"LIGHT MAGIC, KIDIOU NO. 55! LIGHT MOON RIP FORTH SUN!" A huge burst of light exploded from her arms and the whole room was engulfed. The castle exploded in a huge light show. All around the castle light butterflies fluttered and began to dim.
Luna easily knocked out the guard. He had taken her only a little way away from the castle when they had heard an explosion. The guard had stopped to look and Luna had knocked him out. She headed back to the castle. She got there and saw that the castle had exploded. She gasped. "No Solara!" she ran to the rubble she got closer and was getting weaker because of the remnants of light energy, but she didn’t care. She summoned a dark dragon and started to dig in the rubble. She finally found her sister. She was panting. She took her sister in her arms and was crying. "Solara, why, I could have helped you beat him." Luna took the locket from under her shirt and held it in her hands.
Solara smiled, exactly like she had when she was little. "Luna, why are you so big?"
The light had reverted everything within it back to its state before enchantment. Solara herself looked about six years old.
Luna looked at her sister, ‘ the spell must have killed the Light lord and reversed the spell he put on her.' " Do you remember anything about the last 13 years? Or a better question what is the last thing you remember?"
Solara smiled faintly. "Light butterflies." she sighed as she relaxed in Luna's hands. "Luna, my legs hurt." Her legs had been crushed under a big boulder and they were mangled and bloody.
Luna called to the dark dragon. It came and picked up the bolder off of Solara. Luna then picked Solara up and put her on her back. She carried her sister out of the rubble. "We need to get you help." the shadow dragon came up to Luna. Luna climbed on the dragon and the dragon took off into the sky.
"When did you get a dragon Luna?" she asked sleepily. "I learned how to summon it. It’s not the only thing I learned. Look" she created shadow butterflies. " I learned a lot" Luna looked down. She saw a town and told the dragon to go to the town.
"Shadow butterflies." Solara said as she closed her eyes. They wheeled down to the village and Solara clung to Luna as tight as her weak arms could. The dragon landed.
Luna got off and the dragon disappeared. She walked into the town. A villager walked up to her. " What happened?"
" This is my sister. She was hurt. She needs help. Please." " Come with me. My wife is a healer"
" Thank you so much" Luna followed the man to his house.
The man called to his wife." Honey, hurry, I need your help" a woman ran out of the house.
She took one look at Luna and Solara and directed Luna into the house. She tended to Solara. The man came in the house. He looked at Luna. Luna was panting and looked really weak. " Hey are you ok?" Luna nodded " I’m fine” Luna’s sight started to blur and she fell over. The man picked her up and put her on a bed by Solara. He saw a locket fall out of her shirt. He gasped. ' Are these my daughters?'
Solara opened her eyes slowly, she looked exactly like she had the last day their father had seen them. He didn't know how thirteen years could pass and she still looked like she was five, but he was so glad to know for sure. "Daddy?" Solara reached out her arms for a hug.
Alaster hugged his daughter.” I can’t believe you here. I thought I had lost you forever" Then he looked over at Luna" I thought I had lost you both forever." Luna started to toss and turn.
-Dream-
Luna entered the Dark Lord's chamber. A dark shadow circled around her and went into her eyes. " I have cursed you because of the knowledge you have. The only way you can get rid of it is to find a source of great light.
-End dream-
Luna groaned. She looked like she was in pain. She uttered one word. " Solara"
"Daddy," said the small five year old. "Please help Luna, I know she is big, but something is wrong with her." The little girl smiled, not saying a word about her own mangled legs. "Please help Luna."
Alaster went over to Luna and took her hand. " Lunaria, please wake up, it’s me your real father." Luna's eyes twitched and then she opened them. " Father? It's really you?"
"Yes Lunaria it's me." Alaster hugged his daughter. She hugged back. " I missed you girls so much."
"Don’t worry father we're home." Luna looked around the house until her eyes rested on Solara. She smiled. She slowly got up and went to Solara's bed. She climbed in with her, being careful of her sisters legs, and hugged her. "I still don't know how you got so big Luna, but I love you." She hugged her back. "Something is wrong though, you need something. What is it sister?"
" I'm scared. The man who kidnapped me 13 years ago was in the dream I just had. He cursed me and said that I was going to die soon. The only way the curse would be broken is if I find a great source of light. I don’t know what to do." Luna looked at the locket around her neck. " I might need leave soon. I need to kill the Dark Lord. He has caused me so much pain." Solara shook her head.
"You aren't Luna. Luna would try to find the light, and we would find it together. Luna wouldn't try to kill someone. She wouldn't."
" I know. But you are in no condition to be going anywhere. And I don’t know how many days I have left. Also I think that part of me is being taken over by the curse. I don’t want to put you in any more danger. "
Solara shook her head again. She put her hand over her legs and they disappeared, replaced with legs made of light. She stood on them experimentally. The young child looked adamant. "We are going to find the light you need."
Luna smiled. "You were always so persistent. Ok let’s go." Luna walked outside and summoned her dragon. She ran after, her light legs giving her extra speed. "The light, I can feel it. It is very far away though. It's that way." She pointed in the direction of the setting sun. "Hey do you have a locket around your neck? I have this feeling that they are important" "Of course, I've always had one."
She pulled out a little gold locket. She smiled. "It's my favorite one."
" Ok get on the dragon."
"Okidoki." With her light legs she jumped up onto the dragon's back. She turned her face to the way she had pointed, as though bathing her face in sunlight. "It's so bright."
"Ok hold on to me tight." the dragon took off into the sky in the direction of the sun. Solara got tired after a while and leant against Luna. "Wake me up when we get there." She curled up and slept.
Luna smiled at her sister. They traveled for a while and Luna the dragon to go to the ground. She couldn’t keep the dragon materialized for much longer. She hade never summoned it for this long before. She picked up her sister and put her on her back. She started walking.
Solara stirred, she felt the light. Without waking up she floated off Luna's back. Her eyes opened but they were just balls of light shining beneath her eyelids. She walked on the air, gracefully being drawn somewhere. She leant towards the way she walked and her arms swayed beside her. Every time she stepped light rippled from her feet like she walked on water.
"Solara? Where are you going?" Luna followed her. "I am going to the Light." her voice was strange and different, richer. "You seek the Light, I will lead you there." As she continued to walk it became darker and darker. Eventually Solara came to a small tunnel. Without flinching she walked through it, coming to a large cavern. A bright light floated far above the ground and bathed them in light. "The Light."
" Wow that is really big." Luna then grabbed her head in pain. She shut her eyes but then she opened them again and the shadow shot out of her eyes and was destroyed in the light. " Is it over? I mean is the curse really gone?"
"The Light has healed your wound, but now demands payment,” she continued in the strange voice. "It wishes to have-" The light suddenly disappeared from her eyes and she dropped to the ground, looking very scared. "Me?"
"You? Why you? What does it want you for? The light fluttered out through her eyes again. "This child shall be my vessel, I shall use her to walk the Earth as I once did. My light flows already through her veins that is why she can control light." The light disappeared and Solara stood very still. "If I don't go it will place he curse back on you." She smiled bravely. "I'll do it, if it helps Luna."
"As long as I get to stay with you Solara. You’re my sister and I wont lose you again." Solara smiled and gave Luna a huge clinging hug. "Luna, I'm scared. What will happen to me?" she asked in a little voice. "I don’t know, but she wont hurt you. She needs you. And I will stay with you to keep you safe from other dangers. Solara nodded. "Ok then." The Light grew brighter and her eyes became light again. She walked through the air up to the Light and walked directly into it. The Light exploded like fireworks and Solara fell to the ground, landing in Luna's arms. Light emanated from her skin and she seemed drowsy.
Luna picked up her sister and took her out of the cave. She found a spot under a tree and placed her sister on the ground. ' I wonder what is going to happen now' Luna sat down and shut her eyes. She fell into a light sleep.
Solara stretched quietly, not wanting to disturb Luna. The Light resided in her heart and filled her with warmth. "Luna, take this child to wherever should need help. I will bring them Light through her." Luna opened her eyes and nodded.

- I like it. It's a bit confusing but overall it's very good. There is a few grammatical errors and you need to seperate the conversation. 2/5
