Kalan calmed herself down, and had now managed to stand on her feet. She took another try to see, but all still remained black.
"Hopeless," she complained under her breath. Kalan hobbled over to the steps and carefully sat on the edge.
"What am I going to do?" She asked herself out loud. Kalan had never dreamed of this posibility, and had was confused on how to handle it. She gripped the stone that had blinded her. This simple little stone had turned her joy of success into another dismay. A few moments pasted as she sat in silence. The stone of the arena steps began to grow uncomfortable and she could feel the air getting colder. It's getting late, Kalan thought, My only choice would be to travel to the city of Nigh, but do I really want to go back there? She paused for moment to reason, In any case, I better get going.
She sighed before making her way down. Step by step she climbed her way away from the stadium. It took a long while before she found herself back onto the ground. From there she felt her way onto her feet. Now came the next step, getting to the town. She had no clue at how to get there, or even to how far away it would be. Normally it would take her a matter of hours but without her sight it would be more of a struggle for her. But then, a familiar sound came apparent from the far left of her. Kalan backed up, while calling,
"Hello?" The noise roared louder and the girl could sense something quite large coming. She was scared for moment, but forced herself to call again, "Hello?"
This time someone anwsered, "Hello there!," Kalan could barely hear it over the streeching stop of the noise, as heavy footsteps followed.
"What are you doing out here?" The voice called to her.
She froze for a moment. "Trying to find my way to Nigh," Kalan explained. She felt it was in her best interest not to mention the previous events.
"Well then!" The man replied, "Hop on! It's on the way to Erin."
Kalan nodded. It wasn't strange to find a friendly traveller on the road, yet it still left her with some caution. She felt her way as she stumbled forward. Her hands met wood as she came to a sudden stop. A storage cart, Kalan told herself, That means the way on is at the back. The blind girl glided her hands along the carts edge until she came across an opening. Kalan grabbed onto two bars by the carts enterence and pulled herself into the cart.
"Let's go!" The man cried, while a creature in front of the card reared. Soon thick footsteps and rattling of loose objects filled the air.
Yet still something had made it's way over the sound, "Um...hello?"
