“Torn!” the judge started. “You have committed a crime that is unforgivable. When you joined us, you swore that you would abide by all rules. YOU SWORE ON YOUR LIFE! Now you must pay.” He said. “Judge!” I started. Just what the hell did I do? I have not been informed yet!” He looked at me eye to eye and spoke in his normal voice. “You know good and well what you did.”
“Well if I knew, I wouldn’t be asking now would I?” I responded. His countenance completely changed. It changed to something worse than anger, worse than sorrow. It was a look I would have never expected from him. It was hatred. Complete and utter hatred. No sympathy, no mercy. Pure hatred. “YOU RAPED AND KILLED MY DAUGHTER!” he yelled. With a great gasp, the courtroom fell silent. Nothing made a move, nothing made a sound. It was as if someone of the highest rank had died. I broke this silence. “I did no such thing!”
“Liar! I saw you with my own eyes!”
“When did this happen?” he fell silent once again. “TELL ME!”
“Three days ago.” He said softy. I began to think back. Three days ago was my own birthday. “You can’t be serious!” I responded. I began to feel the hatred he was feeling. This was the first time I’ve ever gotten into something so serious with him. “WHAT DID YOU SAY HERETIC?”
“Is that what I am now? A heretic? How can you say such a thing? Who was the one who made this place as great as it is? Who was the one that took care of YOU when you were near death? Is this the thanks I get?”
“Silence! You shall pay the ultimate punishment.”
“What? Death? You can’t pull that off. Not even the king can pull that off. You know I’m innocent! Why won’t you admit it?” He then turned away. “Don’t turn your back on me!” I yelled. Two guards then began to grab hold of me. “The Realm of Heroes has no use for you. You will now be exiled to the world of mortals.” They said in harmony. “I know this! This is no fair!” I yelled. They then began to take me away. “Judge!” I began to plea. “Judge! Judge! Dammit father listen to me!” I yelled. He stopped in his tracks. But not only him, so did everyone else. No one knew I was his son. “They don’t know do they? Come on father. Tell them the fairy tale you used to tell me. Tell them that load of bullshit about where I came from. Judge then turned to see my tears. That’s when I knew the pieces were coming together for him. He knew I knew everything. “In fact,” I spoke through my sobs. “why don’t you tell them my real name? After all, we have gotten this far don’t ya think?”
“Narugami! You shall shut your mouth this instant!”
“No! I want them to know! I want them to know what happened to my mother!” I screamed. His eyes grew wide. His face covered in a blanket of shame. “You won’t tell them? Then I will! My father wasn’t the war hero you all thought he was! This very man, the very judge that you say is pure and honorable killed my mother in the great war because she was holding him back.” All eyes fell on my father. My father began to show his tears. But I didn’t stop there. I wanted everyone to know the truth. “In addition to that,” I started. “he came back to my mothers corpse and saw me forcing my way out of her womb. Shall I proceed father? Shall I tell them the type of training you put me through?” I said. My father simply turned away. “You brought this upon yourself Narugami.” He said walking away. At that moment, they threw me through the Gate of Mortals. I wasn’t about to quit there. “What about my family? I don’t care what happens to me! What about my wife? My kids? What about them?” I screamed while I banged on the gate. My fathers voice blared through the intercom. “Your family has already been executed. Your family is no more.” My eyes widened with horror. “He wouldn’t!” my mind was telling me. I eventually busted my way through the gate. “Luna! Terry!” The more I searched, the more hope I lost. I decided to go to the execution site. If they really did execute them, they’re bodies should be there right? I decided to fly there. Walking would take too much time and I needed time to be on my side. On my way there, I heard screams of horror. I decided to follow them. Something told me I would find answers from that person. As I followed the sound, I noticed no guards were after me. Something big was happening other than my trial. Could my trial have been a diversion? The closer I got, the worse the smell got. The sound rang out again and again I followed. I came upon the scream, but it wasn’t the scream that had me in a state of shock. It was my family. A family of four lying on the ground without the very thing that holds they’re brain. The scream I heard this time wasn’t the same. It was my own. Not a scream of horror, but a scream of pain. A scream of hatred. That’s when it hit me; there was some one missing. I counted them off. “Terry!” I said aloud. Terry, my eldest daughter, was still only seventeen. I hear her scream again and I raced to it. When I came upon her, she was still fighting. Just like I taught her. In a way, this made me proud. I then raced to her aid. She was fighting three royal guards. I took out two she took out the last. “Lets go.” I said. “We’re leaving the Realm of Heroes.” I said grabbing her hand. I didn’t get the chance to teach her how to fly, so I took her in my arms and started to fly myself. “Where will we go? This is the only place we’re accepted.” She said softly. “We’ll go to the mortal realm. At least we’re safe there.” I said rushing. Just then, there was a flurry of plasma beams surrounding. They were trying to shoot us out of the sky! Those beams pierced even my skin. Ignoring the beams, the gate came into view. But before I could pass through, a beam went through my chest. But that wasn’t all it went through.
