- A pale ruby stood suspended in time, beautiful and mysterious. The single drop of wine was at its most beautiful as it was about to hit the dingy motel carpet. But, it never would. This little scene, so irrelevant on the scope of time, would be the last in this even more irrelevant couple's lives. A gentle rain was frozen as it tapped across windows, bringing life to the land. Headlights beamed on every inch of the street, rushing to get somewhere they would never arrive. Yet, among the stillness, something was full of life and energy. What appeared as a small child was dancing through the traffic, the pollution, the city. She leapt between raindrops, catching some in her mouth, others in her golden hair. A pungent aroma of honeysuckle and lavender followed her with every step she took. To the wandering eye, it would be lost, yet to others it would appear almost as if grass sprung up on everything she made contact with. Lilies appeared at the hems of her dress, poppies at her fingertips, and a thick carpet of green from underneath her toes. Soon, other motions were seen. Gleefully singing birds, darting squirrels, leisurely beavers. Vegetation sprouted from them too, the grass spread like wild fire and soon the cars and buildings were enveloped in a blanket of flowers. The threatening telephone poles evolved into towering oaks, creating shade for this glorious array of nature. Amid the angelic chaos, the girl remained dancing, and now singing the glorious tune of life. Each note was a symphony in its own, weaving the basis of speech and song. On the same wind that brought this fantastic creature, it brought destruction too. Now wherever it touched, the object would turn to ash, clogging the sky with destruction and hate. The winds picked up and the beauty rapidly vanished. In the simple duration of five minutes, the earth blew away with the cosmic winds.

I like this, especially the image of the girl reclaiming the world from civilization, but the story seems a bit rushed. The paragraph doesn't seem to do justice to the images and ideas you've introduced here.
I don't know if you intended it, but the contrast between creation and destruction in the same paragraph doesn't seem to jive; it wouldn't be so bad if the story were broken up a bit more and there were a line or two between the paragraphs, but it seems off balance as it is - Report As Spam
