    Nikky,

I think of when you left me, and I cant help but to feel confused. I want to cry about it, but I don’t know how. I feel sick all the time, but don’t know how to feel better. My heart is cracked, and blood is flowing like my tears. Why did you have to abandon me to this darkness and go with her? Was I not good enough for you? Did I do something wrong? Or did you simply outgrow me? Well, I’m almost to the point of peace. Give it a few minutes, and it will all be over. Not for me though. I will live forever. I will live eternally, and your memory will haunt me thorough existence. You wont though. Your life ends. Your life has been over ever since the door closed behind you as you walked out. You may be immortal, but you will die inside just as surely as you have killed me inside. As much as I love you I cant help but say, watch your back. Watch her back too if you still have her, because I’m coming. Consider this a warning of my intentions. I’m sorry to have to do this, but I don’t want to feel sick anymore and I can see no other solution.

    Always and forever yours,
    Bianca

I left the note outside his window, in the little hidey hole where he usually kept his key. The next time he locked himself out, which was often, he would find it. I hoped he would find it later and give me time to finish what needed to be done. Of course, he wasn’t home. He was probably out with her, it was night after all.
I returned to my car, my heels clicking softly against the asphalt as I walked across the well light street. I carefully removed my pill bottle hat before slipping into my little car. It started with a hiss and I drove away to do what I had to.

It was about two hours later when I arrived at the large mansion on the outskirts of town. I knew at least one of the beasts had to be home. I walked to the door carefully, still unsure if I wanted to do this, but I had already left the note for Nikolaos.
I knocked carefully on the large and heavy looking oak door. Almost immediately the door swung open.
“Yes?” a petite lady in a maids outfit had answered the door.
“Umm, hello. My name is-” She interrupted me before I could continue.
“I don’t care who you are. Which one are you here to see?” she looked impatient to be done with me.
    “I’m here for Mr. Leonard.”
She raised her eyebrows, but let me in and directed me to the back staircase anyway. The inside of the huge mansion was warm and inviting, and decorated with colors of burgundy and cream and was filled with oak furniture of the same color as the door. As I climbed the stairs I couldn’t help but think about what I was doing, and how much this would hurt Nikky, and me. I wasn’t sure about this yet, but I was already inside.
I was halfway up the stairs when Leonard was beside me. I flinched slightly. I just couldn’t get used to how quickly they could move.
“Ms. Bianca,” he crooned in his smooth and inviting voice. “How wonderful to see you here!”
“Hello Leonard,” I said, not knowing what else to say.
“When do you want to do it?” I turned and faced him, I could feel my face go stoic without being conscious of doing so purposefully.
“Do what?” I asked carefully avoiding his eyes.
“Don’t play stupid,” he said taking my hand. I gasped, shocked by how cold his was. “We both know what you are here for. I can smell it on you. A bit of shock, some regret, a whole lot of pain, but strangely, no fear.” his face was politely withdrawn.
We were both silent for a few minutes as we topped the stairs. He led me down the hallway on the left, and to the balcony. It was a breezy night, and strangely warm for early April.
“Now is fine. I hadn’t really planned it out.” I gulped heavily, and turned toward him. He smiled largely, revealing his ivory white fangs to the moonlight. I gulped again, and tilted back my head to reveal my neck. I heard him chuckle, and saw the full moon larger than I ever had before I closed my eyes.

I tore up the note after I had read it and ran back out to my car. The sun was almost at its noon peak. She had probably left it last night, or the night before. Why I hadn’t thought to warn the coven that she might be coming was beyond me. Now it might be my fault that she was dead.
My tires screeched as I peeled out of the driveway and sped down the street. I was pushing the car as fast as it would go, and I felt like it was too slow. Why would she do this to me? I cant believe my plan backfired. I left her so she would be safe, not so she could throw away her life like I had done! I don’t know what I will do if I am too late. I ran my hand anxiously through my hair as I drove.
I arrived at the coven in a little over a half an hour, and didn’t even knock. I burst through the old door, and took the stairs as fast as I could, and two at a time. In a few seconds I was outside of Leonard’s set of rooms. He was waiting.
“What did you do?” I yelled at him as I grabbed his shirt and yanked him towards me violently. He laughed and set his hand on mine on his shirt.
“I only did what you couldn’t, brother!” he was smiling as though he enjoyed my rage, and knowing Leonard, he probably did.
I slammed him against the wall opposite his door to his great amusement. He laughed again, and pried my hands off of him as though it took no effort. He turned as though to walk away, and chuckled. I grabbed him quickly before he could take a step, and he spun around and slapped me with the back of his hand so hard that I couldn’t remember my name for a second, and was sprawled out on the floor staring at the ceiling trying to think of it when he offered a hand to help me up. Leonard was always a gracious winner, even if I could not be.
Someday I would repay him for what he had stolen from me. Someday he would pay an equal price weighed out in his own blood. I smiled at him, and accepted the hand up.
