The shadow outlining the model is unattractive and can easily be avoided by adjusting the lighting.

I see no reason why the left and top of the photo cut off a slight amount of the model. It would have been better with the whole subject in the frame. It looks like it was taken with on camera flash, which is not a good idea for images like this. Natural lighting is the only way unless you can afford/have some better equipment. - Report As Spam
