Yes like Miyanaki- said there is a type of photography called Self Portraits, and a lot of famous photographers are known for this kind of work. Concerning safety you could put them anywhere and it's likely that'd that chance would be around.
Concerning the photo- sure it's average? So what? We all start off somewhere. My advice to the uploader, when uploading this kind of pictures name it 'Self Portait', as more people then will recognise it as 'Photography'. - Report As Spam

that girl who is going crazy is stewpid. -.- there is a type of photography that is piktures of yourself. theyre called SELF PORTRAITS! -.- like the famous photographer cindy sherman. ALL of her piktures are of her self.
