My self portrait for year 11 art, I painted everything on canvas.
The cherry blossom background symbolizes new start and Buddhism associating with the tiger. The dark head girl shows what people see of me when they first meet me and then later on I become more sweet and open up with them more. I chose to do the eyes of the tiger to sorta match the other girls hair, to emphasizes the depiction of seeing the truth in people.
I'm still finishing it, that's why the tiger has no ears XD - Date: 08/13/2011
